The Club recognizes high levels of productivity in customers’ flocks
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa. – Ross® Poultry Breeders (RPB), the Ross distributor in South Africa, introduced the Ross 150 Club to its customers in November 2016. The Ross 150 Club recognizes breeder performance and is open to customers supplied by RPB in South Africa who achieve over 150 chicks per hen housed from their Ross 308 flocks.
Aviagen® and RPB recently welcomed all farm staff, rearing farmers and supervisors from Eagle’s Pride, Westwood poultry farm, to the 150 Club, after they reached 153.65 chicks per hen housed from one of their flocks. They each received a certificate as acknowledgment of their hard work and dedication at a celebratory ceremony.
Robert Haggarty, senior technical manager Aviagen, who services the Ross brand in Turkey, the Middle East & Africa, said, “There are now an increasing number of Ross Clubs around the globe inspiring Ross customers to achieve excellent results at both breeder and broiler levels. In South Africa we wanted to open the opportunity for Ross 308 parent stock customers to attain the same target as some of the highest-achieving customers globally, so the 150 Club was born. To reach this level is not easy; however, with the right support from the RPB distributor team and a lot of hard work by the customer, it is possible not just to meet, but to exceed the performance objectives of the Ross 308 bird.”
